Copthorne Hotel Slough Windsor
New For 2009 - Healthy Sleep Rooms at The Copthorne Hotel Slough Windsor
The Healthy Sleep Company recently installed 4 Healthy Sleep Rooms at the prestigious Copthorne Hotel Slough Windsor.
The rooms were installed over a two day period which included an informative presentation to staff. The presentation in conjunction with marketing material and a briefing to their sales team will help the hotel promote and sell the rooms to guests and corporate clients during 2009.
Guest feedback from other Healthy Sleep Room Hotels has been exceptionally positive with hotels reporting repeat bookings. The Healthy Sleep Company will be meeting with Action Against Allergies and Asthma UK early in the New Year to increase awareness and demand for Healthy Sleep Hotels.
Our intention is to turn hotels into "Destination Hotels" for allergy sufferers and those wishing for a healthier nights sleep. With the current economic climate hotels need a competitive edge to attract further custom and increase revenue. Healthy Sleep Rooms will provide that by catering for the 18 million UK allergy sufferers which is an untapped market and by enhancing the guest experience.

Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel & Spa
THE HEALTHY SLEEP COMPANY
Pets, flowers, foods and perfumes - as if allergy and asthma sufferers don’t already miss out on the finer things in life, finding a hotel room that provides them with a decent night’s sleep can be an almost impossible task.
Most hotel rooms are decorated in huge amounts of soft furnishings and deep pile carpets - the perfect harbour for dust mites, human skin and pet hairs.
Dust mites are the major cause of asthma and allergies so it's no wonder that many sufferers avoid staying in hotels - and with around 5.3m asthma sufferers in a total of 18.2m allergy sufferers in the UK that’s an awful lot of lost business.
The Healthy Sleep Company has the perfect answer to this conundrum, providing a simple but highly effective room treatment which reduces dust mites and associated allergens by up to 97.4%, leaving the hotel with a room they can promote as being allergy friendly.
Their purification process includes UVC light, patented cleaning solutions, high intensity vacuum with HEPA filters and dry steam at temperatures over 150 degrees centigrade. It doesn’t harm the furnishings and takes just a few hours to carry out, lasting for up to a year.
The beautiful Cwrt Bleddyn Hotel in the stunning Usk Valley is one of the first hotels in the UK to use The Healthy Sleep Company and provide a virtually allergy-free bedroom for their visitors.
"The idea of providing an allergy free room fitted in perfectly with our concept of a healthy retreat in a pure clean place," says general manager Liz St John.
"And already the rooms are paying dividends. We have had dozens of satisfied customers, several of whom were so pleased with the Healthy Sleep Room that they re-booked the same room as they were checking out.”
One was allergy sufferer Anna, has had rhinitis (CORR) for years. “I get constant cold-like symptoms, such as sneezing, itchiness and a blocked, or runny, nose. I normally hate going to hotels because I always have such an uncomfortable, restless night.
“I could feel how refreshing the Health Sleep Room was as soon as I walked in and had the best night’s sleep I’d had for years. In the morning I didn’t have my usual blocked up nose and dry mouth.
“It was wonderful and I was so delighted I re-booked that room for another visit in August. Again I wasn’t disappointed.”
The Healthy Sleep Company is the brainchild of Valentine Tomin and Richard Marshall, who came up with the idea after Richard's young son was diagnosed with severe asthma and eczema, caused by dust mites.
“Allergy-friendly Healthy Sleep Rooms are set to revolutionise the UK hotel industry by providing guests with a great night’s sleep,” says Valentine. “It will also give the hotelier a sustainable competitive edge over its rivals.”
